Monday Musings

October 12, 2009
Today is Canadian Thanksgiving. We were fortunate enough to spend this first day of the “holiday season” with my parents. Mom made a fantastic turey dinner with all the fixings and homemade pumpkin pie for dessert.
Harvesting is just about finished around here. it was the season for an abundant garden for my parents. Thankfully we get the benefit of their hard work in the form of zucchini, squash, pumpkin, beans, tomatoes, beets and the resulting canning that my mom did. Delicious!!
Weekly plan
  • finish up freezer meals – all this fresh produce is to be frozen but our freezer is full! We still have some freezer meals I prepared pre – baby that need to be eated. Very little cooking to be done bt me this week!
  • get garden put to bed for the winter
  • swap summer clothes for fall/ winter ones including digging up winter boots, toques, scarves and mittens
  • put duvet back on bed and replace summer weight sheets with warmer fleece ones

What is your plan this week? Post a link in the comments if you would like to share.
